Clocking up the miles for the Melanie Braysher Trust

Liam Humphrey has been very active this year for the Melanie Braysher Trust. Liam, 33, who now lives in Littlehampton but was born in Haslemere took up running in 2011 & has supported several charities since then. This year he was keen to do something for his old home town and chose to run for the locally based charity the Melanie Braysher Trust, which provides mobility equipment across Surrey, Sussex & Hampshire to disabled children and young people to help them become more independent.

Liam has run in the Brighton Half Marathon and the Great South Run a 10 mile road race held recently in Portsmouth. In February Liam finished the half marathon course in 1 hour 56 minutes and 34 seconds, 3 minutes faster than his previous best and last month in Portsmouth, Liam crossed the finishing line in 1 hour 25 minutes and 7 seconds a full 4 minutes and 2 seconds faster than last year, a great achievement for Liam as he is asthmatic and has to battle hard to achieve his goals.

Over the two races Liam has raised over £600 for the Melanie Braysher Trust a significant amount for the charity and Liam’s reward to himself after finishing the races...a very big mug of tea!

Congratulations Liam and many thanks from the Melanie Braysher Trust for your support it is very much appreciated.
